Common household threads include rayon, soft cotton, and silk. Even the strongest household threads are still thinner and softer compared to industrial sewing threads.

To select the appropriate sewing thread, consider the following factors:

• Consider your production requirements, such as speed, durability, and resistance to breakage

Using industrial sewing threads (such as nylon or polyester) on fabrics, leather, canvas, and other materials can significantly improve seam strength and durability.

Nylon thread is an excellent choice for sewing fabrics, leather, canvas, and vinyl. It is strong, durable, and smooth, with good resistance to UV and moisture, making it ideal for outdoor applications.

In general, household threads are designed for small-scale home projects such as repairs, crafts, quilting, home décor, and fashion sewing. DTY and nylon threads can also be used in a variety of applications.

On the other hand, industrial sewing threads can be constructed in different ways, such as polyester-cotton blends, 100% spun polyester, or core-spun structures like polyester-wrapped polyester core (PWPC) and cotton-wrapped polyester core (CWPC).
